I have been seeing tons of photos and articles lately on Amy Davis and her swimsuit modeling career. Since this blog is primarily about Indiana American Idol Finalists, I thought I would do a little research on Amy and her swimsuit modeling. I know Amy Davis was eliminated and her voice didn’t stand up to the American Idol voters taste, but she is a fellow Hoosier after all. As I was surfing for more information on modeling career I kept finding the same old photo's that are on everyone’s site these days. That is until I ran across a photographer Greg Reinacker and his blog. Greg evidentially did a photo shoot in St. Thomas over a year ago and Amy Davis was one of his models. Greg very nice work by the way. After viewing his portfolio, I believe we'll be seeing plenty of Amy Davis in the future. Amy might not have made it as an American Idol but she sure has potential as a swimsuit model. THere are some other pictures of American Idol Amy Davis on several sites thoughout the internet

Amy Davis Eliminated From American Idol
Amy Davis was eliminated in the first rounds of cuts on American Idol last night. This doesn't come as a huge suprise after her perfromance and the judges comments during Wednesday's American Idol episode. We hope that Amy can take something positive away from this experience. Everyone from Indiana should be proud of her accomplishments even though she wont continue on in the American Idol competition. If it doesnt help to boost her sining career its bound to have some impact on her modeling opportunities, as the web is now full of sites featuring Amy Davis and her many photo's. Its amazing how a brief time in the lime light can create such a buzz around the world. While I do have a few photo's of Amy Davis here, there are many sites out there that do nothing but feature her many different swimsuit pictures and other photo's from her modeling portfolio. Garrett Haley was another midwest American Idol contender that was eliminated during this first round. Like Amy he had less than a spectacular performance on Tuesday. Garrett Haley a 17 yr old will return to Elida, OH and continue singing in his local church. Hopefully we will see more of him in the future. This round of eliminations leave only 2 Indiana American Idol contestants left, Luke Menard and Amanda Overmyer. Neither of these had a great showing on thier debut , but atleast it was enough to move them deeper into the American Idol competition.

Amy Davis American Idol | Where the boys are
Amy Davis began the night singing "Where The Boys Are". The judges definately weren't impressed. Lackluster was the word I remember hearing one of them say. I believe Randy was even chuckleing before the song was over. Hopefully, Amy Davis can shake off this less than spectacular beginning to her American Idol competition. Even if Amy Davis doesnt make it as a star American Idol singer, the camera loved her and this could be a big boost to her for potential modeling career.

Indiana American Idols | Less Than Stellar
Luke Menard from Crawfordsville, IN opened with the song "Everybody's Talking" written by Harry Nilsson. Luke left the judges wanting a bit more. Randy of of the opinion that Luke Menard was rather pitchy through the whole song. Paula was of the mindset that he didnt choose the best song to open with and Simon said "It was forgettable". This definately wasnt the best way for Luke Menard to make his debut on American Idol's finals, however he did appear to be comfortable on the stage. For Indiana's sake lets hope Luke makes it to the next round of American Idol.
The other representative from the midwest to perform last night was Garrett Haley. Garrett from the small town of Elida, OH appeared overly nervous throughout his performance. This is something to be expected from a 17 year old teenager making an appearance on American Idol. Garrett Haley's song selection "Breaking up is hard to do" was written by N. Sedaka and H. Greenfield. The judges impression that he was "boring, whiny and terrified" I'm sure left Garrett Haley feeling less than confident. We wont have the results of last night performance until Thursday's airing of American Idol. Lets hope both Garret Haley and Luke Menard make it another round. While both these midwest performers didnt live up to the judges expectations the overall feeling was that most of the American Idol males were less than spectacular.
Tonight we will get to see the Indiana women perform. Amy Davis from Lowell, IN and Amanda Overmyer from Mulberry, IN both get to debut their talents in the showing of American Idols top 12 females tonight. Lets hope the gals out do thier male counterparts and leave the crowd wanting more!! Asia'h Epperson is a strong favorite for the women

Hoosier American Idol | 3 American Idols From Indiana
Hoosiers everywhere have to be overly proud as Indiana has 3 American Idols in the top 24. Season 7 of American Idol kicks off the finals tonight on Fox, and among them are Amy Davis, Amanda Overmyer, and Luke Menard. All three come from home towns right here in Indiana. As a fellow Hoosier I'll watch American Idol with more exictement and anticipation this year.
Amy Davis hails from the small town of Lowell,IN She is a beautiful young 25 year old women pursing a career in modeling and singing.
Amanda Overmyer who calls Mulberry, IN her hometown is age 23 and is considered by many to be one of the top female contenders on this seasons American Idol
Luke Menard is a handsome young man from Crawfordsville,IN. He is 29 yrs old and enjoys lifting weights and riding motorcycles. Luke Menard is one of the lesser known contestants this year. It will be interesting to see how he does.
Hopefully all of the Hoosier American Idols go deep into the competition and represent Indiana in a positive way. Luke will be the first of the three that will perform for us as the men begin on tonights episode.
